Trustee, Lian Returns to Manila to Support Streetlight’s Children

Our dedicated Trustee, Lian, is heading back to Manila, Philippines for a 15-day visit to offer hands-on support and bring joy to the children at Kanlungan. During her trip, she will be visiting the Malate Drop-in Centre before traveling south to Laguna, where she’ll be staying at the girls’ home.

Lian has packed a range of fun activities to engage the children and will be lending a helping hand to the staff by teaching English, Art, and Cooking. Her passion and dedication bring invaluable support and the children always benefit from her warmth and energy.

She’s also eagerly anticipating a visit to the boys’ home located on a working farm. Having last visited in 2024, Lian is beyond excited to reconnect with the children and staff after a year apart.

Joining Lian this year is her Fiancé, Fred - Co-Founder of Rogue Sarnies and Rogues, who will be visiting Kanlungan for the second time. Rogue Sarnies has been a wonderful supporter of The Streetlight Trust, generously donating a portion of their tips and sales to our cause.

Chef Fred is thrilled to share his love of cooking with the children once again. He’ll be teaching essential kitchen skills, the importance of nutrition, and how to prepare balanced meals. Last year, the duo’s fresh pasta cooking session was a huge hit with the girls, and this year they are both looking forward to creating more lasting memories.
